We’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer (Senior) to work in our Gold Coast Studio.

Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced graphic designer with project management skills to join Art-Work Agency (AW).

A day at AW is diverse and ever-changing. In this role, you’ll be responsible for both the creative delivery and the project management of jobs within the studio.

Working alongside the Lead Designer, you’ll take projects from concept through to completion across branding, advertising, publication and print design, web design, infographics and diagrams, signage, EDMs, social media content and other visual outcomes. You’ll demonstrate exemplary time management, a sharp eye for detail, and strong interpersonal skills.

About you:

You’ll bring more than four years of experience to the AW team and have a multi-disciplinary approach to your work as a designer. Your skill set that encompasses project management, print design, digital design, video editing, animation, email marketing, and social media content creation.

If you’re a gun with all things Creative Cloud, competent in the Microsoft suite (yeah, we know…), and familiar with using Trello or similar tools for project management, you’ve got the skills we’re looking for.

You can confidently speak with a client and form a creative brief that details their requirements, ask questions, develop new ideas, and use your problem-solving skills to meet challenges. You’ll enjoy variety and be confident in switching headspaces to manage a varied workload. You confidently present design concepts and project progress to clients in a compelling and understandable way, addressing queries and concerns with professionalism. You’ll proactively foster a collaborative environment and support an empowering team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic and digital design:

  • Create compelling design outcomes for digital and print, adhering to brand guidelines where needed.

  • Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget constraints.

  • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives.

  • Create engaging content for our clients including video content and on-brand graphics.

  • Maintain a content calendar and schedule posts.

  • Develop content and graphics for email marketing campaigns using platforms like MailChimp and Klaviyo.

  • Complete simple web design projects using platforms like Shopify, Squarespace, Wordpress and Figma, and liaise with external developers for larger and more complex builds.

  • Complete basic video editing and animation projects to support project needs where required.

 

Project Management:

  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and translate their requirements into accurate creative briefs.

  • Plan projects outlining timelines, milestones and deliverables, document and manage them proactively.

  • Allocate design resources, monitor and manage workload to meet project requirements.

  • Create and track project budgets and ensure they are maintained.

Following successful completion of your probation period, you’ll enjoy up to 2 days per week of optional work-from-home flexibility.

Salary: $65–75,000.00 + superannuation 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Four years+ experience as a graphic designer

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a creative field is not required but highly regarded

  • Adobe Creative Suite

  • MS Office

  • Project management tools like Trello

  • Social media and email marketing platforms like Later, MailChimp and Trello

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • And of course, a rad portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects
