Gavin Doniger is a singer/songwriter from South East Queensland.
He has performed in over 15 countries around the world and toured extensively up and down the East and West Coasts of Australia. Doniger has recorded albums while playing as a solo artist and with his main act Mescalito Blues. On the road and singing since 1998, Doniger loves the open road, which inspires his music and acts as a common ground to meet other musicians and performers.
Mescalito Blues are a duo by definition and definition only. All comparisons or preconceived ideas on what you thought of a duo being will be quickly dispensed after seeing these guys live. Perhaps a more appropriate and fitting title for the way these boys play music in this format would be "Music without a safety net”.
His unique raspy vocals and his Hypnotic Rhythm 'n' Stomp will get you moving. Doniger’s tongue in cheek lyrics are often heart felt and emotional, while other times are short stories of his travels with fictional pictures bought to life through song. You won't forget his voice.
It was very exciting for us to work alongside Doniger and his Mescalito Blues to create a music video for hit Show Me The Devil. Engaged to direct, film and edit Doniger’s latest video clip, with our long-time collaborator Mike Calvino supporting as director of photography, we followed the artist’s process and worked to make his vision a reality.
