In 2020, Merrin (a nurse of 13 years) and Heike (founder of Healthcare Uniforms Australia) caught up for a coffee. It was during this catch up that they realised that they had both had the same idea; to create a scrub collection featuring Australian prints.
They both recognised the need for happy, colourful and trendy scrub tops to brighten the working week of hospital & frontline staff, especially during the pandemic.
Aiming to brighten the healthcare industry with colourful printed scrubs, Scrub Turkey is a changing the uniform game. Many hospitals partake in fun scrub Fridays and similar initiatives and struggle to find designs that are of industry quality with creative swagger.
Scrub Turkey’s playful prints are cleverly designed to pair with everyone’s favourite scrub pant or bottom (from brands like Biz Care), allowing healthcare professionals to mix-and-match their wardrobes with ease.
Featuring exclusive artworks from three Australian artists, Claudio Kirac, Elke Gill and Drew Magnum, Scrub Turkey prints are iconicly Aussie, featuring native flora and fauna in a range of contemporary, abstract styles.
Art-Work Agency photographed the first Scrub Turkey collection in the new Art-Work Photography Studio, which is now featured on the new Scrub Turkey website.
